Dental Board of Australia member recognised in Queen's Birthday honours.

The Dental Board of Australia (the Board) congratulates Winthrop Professor Paul Abbott who was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in this year's Queen's Birthday honours.

The honour was awarded for distinguished service to clinical dentistry, and to higher education as an academic, researcher and author, to endodontics as a practitioner, and to professional organisations.

Winthrop Professor Abbott is a practising dentist in Western Australia and has been a member of the Board since 2012.

Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) is awarded for distinguished service of a high degree to Australia or to humanity at large.
